Task
- Renovation of the Reichstag building destroyed in 2nd World War
- Refurbishment of existing glazed roofing in original dersign from Paul Wallot
- Creation of a suitable indoor climate on the top floor of the building
Solution
- Opening of parts of roof glazing with a micro sun shielding louvre
- Lower glass row constructed of sun protection glass to ensure an uninhibited view
- With use of a micro sun shielding louvre, uniform daylight conditions are created without ingress of direct sunlight
- Energy transmission is reduced to 14% with the louvre
