Two technologies, one concept: designing the future of light today.
With the title Skylab, Siteco presents the first ever suspended luminaire for office environments with a combination of high-performance LED's and Eldacon technology. The concept study is fascinating for its unusual combination of the innovative technologies LED and Eldacon. Its futuristic design and high-grade materials are also a source of appeal. It floats in space like a flattened disc, suspended with filigree wire hangers. The transparent central part is enclosed laterally by a special aluminium profile incorporating cooling ribs. The LED's appear as small light spots, creating an interesting play of light. Warm-white direct light is emitted via Eldacon micro-prismatic structures without glare into the room. A cool, indirect light component is directed upwards via a frosted, translucent diffuser. With additional Lowpower LED's, the exterior appearance of the building at night can be highlighted. All light components can be adjusted according to user requirements via remote control, and scene-setting is possible.
