Perfect Light For Viennese Rolls
'Der Mann', a large scale bakery with over 50 dependencies in Vienna and Lower Austria commissioned the architects' office DI Michael Majer to design a new headquarters with production facilities and a sales area.
Both architectural and functional designs come together to form a harmonious whole. The planning incorporated the important aspects of production processes, production times during night shifts and delivery in the early morning. Visual requirements in these conditions are directly connected with a safe flow of processes.
The Siteco lighting solution has helped in a major way to ensure the achievement of these conditions. For example, a high level of hygiene within the production hall had to be secured, and guided tours through the production facilities made possible. The solution is a glazed corridor that acts as a mezzanine floor around the production area, and that has its entrance and exit area in the appendaged administration building. In this area the newly developed Lightpane glass luminaire has been incorporated. The Siteco A2 MINI floodlight was integrated into the silver coloured facade. Identical luminaires were used for illuminating the loading area.
'Der Mann' is visible from a large distance with a generous advertising surface, controlled by an intelligent lighting technology.
