Glare-free and high-precision lighting for the VW production line.
Car manufacture can be seen from outside through the double glass facade. The manufacturing facility is at the same time a showroom in which production is celebrated as a permanent marketing event. Light serves as an effective in-scene setting of processes, it is the method of differentiating between and emphasising of the functional areas and it concretises space.
The lighting concept incorporates luminaires with light emitted only into the interior, as a lack of light in the facade area facilitates a view into the interior. The manufacturing route is illuminated with facetted deflection reflectors whose light distribution is easily controllable. Luminance is avoided outside of the desired distribution curve.
