Q-cell is a German solar cell in the middle of the Second Science Park in Sepang. It is the new production line in Malaysia to expand the thin film module. Apart from their core business, they develop and produce thin-film solar modules using different technologies. They are also active in the project business through their project arm Q-Cells International; expand existing markets and tapping future ones. The external staircase of the building was lighted up by Siteco's damp proof fitting"Monsoon" which lends below the staircase in a zig-zag way. It creates a homogenously wide light distribution throughout the staircase. The site was equipped with Hexal Trunking luminaires for suspended mounting, with various light distribution and clear visibility to the production area. Wide beam light distribution from Siteco reflector luminaires emits high vertical illuminance levels with soft contrasts and good uniformity. The illuminance level of the building provides a good colour rendering and harmonious brightness distribution. The factory compound was lighted up by Siteco’s A2 Midi. Usage of asymmetrical floodlight was an essential choice for compound lighting. When fitted with a special connection, the floodlight transforms into a technical street lighting luminaire. Eventually it provides a wide distribution with a high degree of visual comfort. Siteco’s lighting solution gives a greater flexibility, both in planning and installing the lighting system.
