Lighting

Daylight systems:- Moveable Prism System
- Micro Sunshield Louvre

The design of the new Tyrolean Parliament is based on natural and typical regional aspects. The building design specified a bright and modern architecture with pleasant surroundings for workplaces. Siteco daylight technology permits an optimal illuminationof the offices next to the three courtyards.

In addition to the creation of a pleasant illumination and room climate the architects achieved economic savings, e.g. shorter switch on time of luminaires, longer life of lamps, and optimal working conditions for employees.

The three courtyards provide the lower floors of the new Tyrolean Parliament in Innsbruck with daylight. Siteco daylight systems care for a pleasant light and room climate. Direct sunlight is reflected and low energy diffuse daylight can pass through into the building, even into the ground floor.

The courtyard in the middle of the building is equipped with a moveable prism system below the glazed roof. This system combines highest light transmission (tau = 53-74% depending on the angle of the prism panels) and best possible sun shielding effect (g = appox. 20%).

The glazed roof of the courtyard at the edge of the building is equipped with a micro sunshielding louvre in the double glazing. This system combines high light transmission (tau = 38%) with best possible sun shielding effect (g = 14%) without any moveable equippement.
