Press release

Visitors to this year's Siteco trade fair show will be able to get to know the 'diversity of light' at close proximity: the central slogan can be experienced on an emotional level and is also demonstrated at several locations on the stand with practical, tangible examples. For example an array of possibilities presented by the field of lighting management, convincing comparisons between conventional lamps and modern LED technology and the visual experiences of light colours.

Transparent and open, welcoming and communicative, and with a confidence characterised by concise forms and strong statements is how Siteco presents itself at light+building 2010, the trade fair taking place from 11. to 16. April in Frankfurt, Germany. In addition, this year's Siteco City focuses on energy-efficient lighting instruments for improving the well-being of people. And the company is also showing ecologically and economically sustainable lighting solutions that are cost-efficient both for building owners and operators.

A focus on LED lighting tools

Siteco City this year places emphasis on lighting tools featuring LED technology. As well as completely new design approaches with LEDs, Siteco presents modules at light+building that enable classic decorative and technical luminaires to be retrofitted with LED technology.

One variant is the Module 520, which allows the well-known, tried and proven Siteco decorative outdoor luminaires in classic designs to be immediately equipped with LED technology. This means that the most popular Siteco town and park luminaires, i.e. the Mushroom Luminaires, the Lanterns (Classic and Deluxe) and City Light (Plus, Elegance, bollard and pillar) are now available at the fair as LED versions.

The key to such sustainability is found in the Siteco LED gear tray technology. All components required for operation of the luminaire with LEDs are accommodated upon the central LED Module 520. The modular construction ensures that forthcoming, more modern LED generations with higher performance levels can be upgraded and installed with ease. And in addition the LED Module 520 enables already existing lighting installations to be immediately upgraded with state-of-the-art LED technology.

Siteco also presents fresh ideas for interior design with the new Quadrature II and Light Line luminaires.

Nature – Luminale 2010

Again this year Siteco will be participating in a lighting event as part of the Luminale. 'Nature is joyous' is the poetical interpretation of the project initiated by JK LIGHTING DESIGN. Stylised bouquets of flowers made of LED luminaires will be setting accents in the Frankfurt Palm Gardens. Three petals, each consisting of DL 10 outdoor luminaires from Siteco, come together to create a wreath alive with adaptable colours.
